History of the Project
DJBET电竞菠菜人 www.wenzhousizu.com Invicta Grammar School established a mobile device per student project in 2003. At that time, Year 7 students received a device when they started at the school with the expectation that it would be used until the end of Year 9. Monthly contributions were made to ensure that they had an RM Tablet assigned to them for their sole use, both inside and outside of school. An e-Learning Foundation was established supporting the project.
As the years went by, the devices have changed from laptops to netbooks and students now have access to an iPad and Keyboard Case.
Staff at Invicta have been issued with laptops since 2002 and they have been used for online registration and lesson preparation since that time. Staff now each have a MacBook Air and an iPad mini.
The projects for Year 7-9 have gone from strength to strength and the students work with their personal devices in conjunction with text books to enhance the teaching and learning within the school.
Students in Year 10-13 are able to bring their own device into school and connect it to the school's wireless network.
There is a dedicated team available at the e-Learning Support Desk for students from 8.30am - 4pm daily to resolve any issues for them.
The team of 3 staff each have different areas of expertise and provide excellent first line support for students.
The school takes Online Safety very seriously and a member of the team makes regular checks on sites visited, emails and such like to safeguard against bullying, online grooming and inappropriate online activity.
